How Does CIB Help Collectors?

Publications
CIB publishes a book that helps you learn more about collecting. This is the CIB Collectibles Market Guide & Price Index

Value Searches
Collectors seeking the value of their collection, or who are buying and selling items, may access the CIB's collectibles database in two ways. If you simply want to know the value on a few items, use CIB's Custom Quote option. The charge is $10.00 for researching up to four items. Orders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon receiving your order, we will research each item within 3-5 working days, and mail a written report to you, whether or not recent activity in the market has been recorded. Contact our office to place an order, 800.352.8039.

If you frequently need access to values, or like to use online auction sites, we recommend you purchase access to CIB’s Online Price Guide. Members have unlimited access to the database. For information on annual membership, see CIB's Online Price Guide.

What CIB is Not

Please note that CIB is not a locator service, nor do we buy or sell collectibles. We cannot tell you where to find a specific item, however, you can locate stores which deal in a specific line of collectibles through our Store Search. These stores may have the piece you are looking for, or they may be able to help you locate it.

CIB does not do appraisals, but we do have information that may help you find an appraiser for your collection. For general secondary market pricing, you can find over 50,000 items in our CIB Collectibles Market Guide & Price Index.

We hope you will find the information provided on our site to be useful, and welcome your suggestions of what else you would like to see offered online. Happy Collecting!
